Abstract

|
5 cases of myositis ossificans associated with motor paralysis of the extremities following injury of brain and spinal cord were observed and reviewed with the literatures. Emphasize is placed on that rehabilitation for recovery of the patients with motor paralysis should be done under strict supervision of orthopedist and physicalL therapist because long standing and repeated passive exercise of the patients could result in myositis ossificans around the joints.
